Homemade Toilet Deodorizing & Cleaning Balls

INGREDIENTS

  • ½ cup Baking Soda
  • ½ cup Citric Acid
  • ½ cup Borax
  • Water (in a spray bottle)
  • 25 drops Essential Oil (your choice)
  • 1-litre size container
  • Silicone Molds

To Use:

  • Drop one ball into the toilet bowl. It will fizz up, releasing its cleaning and deodorizing properties.

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Place the baking soda, citric acid, and borax into the container. Thoroughly mix and knead to combine the ingredients.
  2. Lightly spray the mixture 2–3 times with water, then mix and knead until all the moisture is absorbed.
    • Repeat this step as needed but be cautious not to over-spray; too much water may result in a weak, crumbly product.
    • The mixture is ready when it stays clumped together and has a pie dough-like consistency.
  3. Add the essential oils and mix thoroughly.
  4. Pack the mixture firmly into the silicone moulds.
  5. Allow the moulds to dry for up to 48 hours, then gently unmould the balls.
    • They will appear fragile at first but will harden significantly over the next few days.
  6. Store the finished balls in a sealed jar until ready for use.
