Fizzing Potion Experiment

INGREDIENTS

  • 100ml citric acid
  • 100ml baking soda
  • 100ml water
  • A few drops of food coloring
  • A tall clear cup or glass
  • A large dish to catch spills

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Measure the citric acid and baking soda into two separate containers.
  2. Combine in Cup: Pour both the citric acid and baking soda into the tall cup at the same time.
  3. Set Up: Place the cup inside the large dish to catch any spills.
  4. Add Color: Mix a few drops of food coloring into the water.
  5. Create the Fizz: Pour the colored water into the cup with the citric acid and baking soda. Watch the fizzing reaction as it bubbles and overflows.
