Easy Salt Dough Decorations

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 cups plain flour
  • 2 cups table salt
  • 1½ cups water

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, and water until it forms a dough.
  2. Knead the dough for a few minutes until smooth.
  3. Roll out the dough to about 3mm thickness.
  4. Use cookie cutters or other objects to cut out your desired shapes.
  5. Make a small hole in each decoration using a skewer or straw (for hanging).
  6. Place the shapes on a baking sheet and bake at 120°C for 1½ to 2 hours, or until the decorations are hard. Baking time may vary based on thickness.
  7. Once baked, let them cool completely before decorating.
