Grandma's Famous Berry Trifle

INGREDIENTS

Bin Inn's Grandma's Famous Custard Powder (prepared as per packet instructions)
Bin Inn's Grandma's Famous Sponge Mix
600g Fresh or Frozen Berries
500ml Cream
1 Tbsp Icing Sugar
1 Tsp Vanilla Essence
Grated Chocolate (for topping)

Bake the sponge mix as directed, then slice into even squares or strips.
Make the custard using Bin Inn's Grandma's Famous Custard Powder
In a bowl, whip cream with icing sugar and vanilla essence until soft peaks form.
In a large glass bowl or individual cups, layer as follows:
- Sponge cake pieces
- Fresh or frozen berries
- A generous layer of custard
- A layer of whipped cream
Repeat the layers until the bowl is full or ingredients are used up.
Top with a few fresh berries and some grated chocolate for decoration.
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld. Serve chilled.
