Grandma's Famous Berry Trifle

INGREDIENTS

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Bake the sponge mix as directed, then slice into even squares or strips.
  2. Make the custard using Bin Inn's Grandma's Famous Custard Powder
  3. In a bowl, whip cream with icing sugar and vanilla essence until soft peaks form.
  4. In a large glass bowl or individual cups, layer as follows:
    • Sponge cake pieces
    • Fresh or frozen berries
    • A generous layer of custard
    • A layer of whipped cream
  5. Repeat the layers until the bowl is full or ingredients are used up.
  6. Top with a few fresh berries and some grated chocolate for decoration.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld. Serve chilled.
